What causes/how can I get rid of night sweats?

Recently, I think I have been experiencing night sweats. During the night, I may get up going to use the bathroom. I feel fine, but my body is terribly sweaty and wet, although I’m not hot. After getting back in bed, the exact spot where I was laying is WET and smells of sweat (bleh!) I have to move to a new spot in my double bed because it is so wet and uncomfortable. I don’t think I’m confusing this with overheating because I have to crawl back under the blankets because I am cold, so I’m not throwing off blankets or anything. My question is, are these TRUE night sweats, and what could be causing them? What can I do to get rid of them?
It’s not menopause, I’m a teenage girl, hahaha. I’m not really on any medication either.

You don’t say how old you are. If you are 50ish, it could be menopause. There are some herbs that can help that. Try soy milk.

There are some diseases that can cause it, like TB or thyroid or other endocrine problems. So you should probably see a doctor.

It could be some kind of response to dreams you are having too.

If you take a lot of Niacin, it can cause that as well.
